Road to Rotherham – end of week 3

‘Discipline is doing what needs to be done, when it needs to be done, even when you don’t want to’

This week was cold in the shed. Some sessions I kept the hat on almost throughout. I was tired, I was desperate to press the snooze button and roll over.

But I didn’t. I dragged myself out of bed. I gripped the freezing bar. I didn’t let the plume of breath that was as thick as fog because of the cold air distract me. I got through it.

I listened to a fantastic podcast on a drive home last week, James Clear on Brene Brown. In it they discuss one of my favourite quotes ever – ‘Every action you take is a vote for the type of person you want to become’.

I want to be the best powerlifter I can be, and I placed some ballots in the box to achieve that this week. What are you casting votes towards today?

Lift well,

Chris.
