Blog – Mark Sims – Powerlifting (March 2025)

Latest update and training has been going well over the last 6 months. Breaks in some weeks due to travelling with work but generally systematic training on bench-press and deadlift according to the Hepburn plan. Various other ancillary work mixed in to build strength also. Regular training with Imogen, Dave and Jackie has been superb along with sessions that coincide with Rob, Tash, Eddie and Lise is also great fun and very sociable.

Decided to test my 1RM in March and achieved 100kg. This has been my goal to try and hit the 100kg level and I am super happy to have achieved that.

Am also now starting on some equipped benchpress also, more news on that to come.
