So there it is, my first proper prep has begun. I say proper because it’s the first time I’ve done anything other than linear progression up until a fortnight before comp, and then two mock meets the two weeks before. I’ve taken a sneaky peak at what’s coming for me over the next 13 weeks and to say it looks a little different to my previous experiences would be an understatement.
Weights were heavier this week, which I enjoyed, and there were yet more new exercises to get my head round.
I’m looking forward to sharing my experiences as I build up to my first comp working with a coach, and seeing (and trusting) that I will better my consistent total from my first two comps of 407.5kg. I hope you’ll join me on the journey.
